Marietta-based Government Account Executive shares how preparation, customer relationships, and consistency have shaped his approach to corporate sales.
MARIETTA, GA / ACCESS Newswire / September 30, 2026 / Floyd Rembert, a Government Account Executive with experience across several Fortune 500 companies, is sharing insights into the habits and principles that have guided his career in corporate sales leadership.
For Rembert, strong sales performance begins well before a customer meeting takes place. His routine starts around 5:00 a.m., when he sets aside time for exercise, mental preparation, and planning before turning his attention to prospecting, customer conversations, and scheduled meetings.
"Preparation has always been one of the biggest parts of how I work," Rembert said. "When you understand your products, know your customers, and have a clear plan for the day, you put yourself in a better position to be useful."
Rembert's approach has been shaped by decades of professional experience as well as lessons he learned through athletics.
Raised in Newark, New Jersey, he competed in basketball and track and field during high school. He became especially accomplished in the 200-metre and 400-metre events. The experience taught him to value repetition, accountability, and performing under pressure.
Those same qualities later became part of his professional routine.
In sales, Rembert places particular importance on face-to-face communication. While digital tools have made it easier to stay connected, he believes direct conversations remain valuable when building trust and understanding what a customer actually needs.
"I've always believed relationships matter," Rembert said. "You can't only show up when you want something. Customers remember whether you follow through, whether you listen, and whether you're there when they need support."
His focus extends beyond winning new business. Rembert emphasizes servicing existing customers and maintaining relationships after the initial sale. He views responsiveness and follow-through as important parts of building a long-term professional reputation.
Throughout his career, Rembert has received multiple awards related to corporate sales leadership. He has also continued to study sales, leadership, and strategy through books including Good to Great, The Challenger Sale, and Secrets of Closing the Sale.
His strongest influence, however, came from his parents, who encouraged him to work hard, maintain strong values, and believe that meaningful goals could be achieved through effort.
That philosophy also carries into his life outside work. Since 2011, Rembert has coached youth baseball, where he helps young athletes develop confidence, teamwork, and personal discipline. He also enjoys running, weight training, golf, and attending live NFL games.
Rembert also volunteers at food and clothing events during the holiday season.
"Whether it's sales, fitness, or coaching, I believe consistency is what makes the difference," Rembert said. "You keep learning, you stay prepared, and you keep showing up."
